Partnering with local non-profits and government agencies, Sheron Ann Foundation provides public speaking services to advocate for survivors. Our Public speaking services focus on providing advocacy for survivors, by survivors.
With a decade of public speaking experience, specifically on trauma & domestic violence, SAF’s Executive Director, Katie MK Scott, leans on her first-hand experiences with domestic violence to build awareness of abuse and promote healing through community.
By building trust with her audience through authentic experiences, Katie uses her journey through domestic violence to teach trauma-informed ways to support those who may be experiencing abuse. These survivor-lead speaking events provide attendees with anecdotal experiences of domestic violence, alongside trauma-informed ways to protect and support survivors.
Attendees will leave with an informed perspective on the effects of domestic violence, safe ways to support survivors and a deeper understanding of how broadly trauma responses can manifest for survivors in everyday situations.
Katie has partnered with many organizations, for both public speaking and trauma/domestic violence trainings.
Partner Organizations include:
Seattle University DV Symposium
King County Prosecutor's Office
Covington Sheriff's Department
Suquamish Police Department
Maple Valley Police Department
King County Family Court Services
Jewish Family Services - Project DVORA
WA Multi Family Housing Association
